Born in California, raised in New York City, Jordan White is a new wave designer who ultimately had a vision from a young age to create a line in which a person’s true style can emerge from their everyday lifestyle; taking an urban street provocative ideal and breaking that unconventional mind set and generating a more young and unapologetic feel. After studying Menswear at FIT and working for world renowned brands such as Ralph Lauren and Converse, White is unveilling a 2009 collection with the intent to captivate imaginations of design, quality and futuristic color.
Man vs. Machine derived from various mediums of inspiration, such as costumes from vintage Stanley Kubrick’s films to sounds of new wave electronic music that reek with attitude. Man vs. Machine symbolizes eccentricity and the idea that man is still superior to it’s creations through originality.
The collection is designed with an array of luxurious fabrics, refined silhouettes, and ultramodern inspired color assortments. This season features hooded leather jackets with reflective surfaces, flight jackets with perforated air vents, backpacks fit for fashion savvy addults, and imported wash free denim. In addition to having signature laser engraved logos and chunky chrome zippers, the styles focus on tailored fit, irregular seam construction, and clean lines all while incorporating design through simplicity. White’s vision for Man vs. Machine is to introduce a unique innovative vision of unsullied contemporary menswear garments.
